An open wound can be a gruesome and horrific sight for a lot of people. But for some reason, after Jesus rose from the dead, when His disciples saw the wounds in His hands and on His side, they had a different response.
They were filled with joy!
You have probably seen a lot of things and gone through more than your fair share of adversity in life. But for those who know Him and have put their faith and trust in Him, ONE DAY Jesus is going to suddenly show up and you’re going to see Him face to face.
He is going to show you those same wounds in His hands and on His side, that He showed to those first disciples. And you’re going to be filled with a joy like you’ve never experienced before.
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ was never meant to provide us with perfect conditions, but to fill us with an inexpressible joy that finds its source in Him—the One whose love for you remains constant in any and all circumstances.
